Yes, another project...but really, who could resist that face?
She may be a bit grubby, but she was only $2!
She's cleaning up just fine. Her green glass eyes open and close now and she's having her hair set with Armour All.
All she needs now is a name. I think she looks like a Wanda, or maybe Jeanette...or Faye? Nanette? Vivian?
Whatcha thinkin'?

All those names suit her. Personally I think Vivian is the best. What about Lucinda?
Stellllllaaaaaaaaaa
I vote for Wandaaaaaaaaaaaa. Are you going to knit or sew her a wee wardrobe?
I think that she's got a creepy, 60's kind of thing going on, so I'd vote for "Barbarella".
I vote to just call it Evil and burn it. That thing gives me nightmares. Make it go away.
elise?
I used to fix up old Barbie dolls and give them to childrens hospital. How do you do the hair with Armour All? I just used to use fabric softener.
I agree with emerald_away, the first time I say the picture at a thought what is that thing? You should burn it!
How do you use fabric softener for the hair? I have a few dolls who could use a new do.
MADDY, of course ;) lol
She looks like a good old gum-smacking dame from the fifties. I think her name should be Trixie.
I would wash Barbie's hair with dish detergent, then use fabric softener, I used Downey, to comb out the tangles. Rinse it out in warm water when all the tangles are gone. I would cut straws to about 1/2 inch and roll her hair, using straight pins to hold the rollers in place, yes, push the pins right thru the straws into her head. I also used those perm papers on the ends of her hair so they wouldn't get frizzy. Then I would dip her head into very hot water for about 30 seconds, I used boiling water that had cooled about 10 minutes, don't use boiling water, it will melt her hair. Stand her up and let her hair dry for about a day or so, and style.
